Biography:

Born 03/05/74 in Kostroma. Married. Has a son and a daughter. Higher education. In the year 1996 graduated Volgo-Vyatsky State Service Academy on speciality   “State and municipal management”.

Since 1994 had been working in the youth centre, then in the Russian Federation Custom Bodies, as well as in bank sphere.

In the year 1999 started working in Chukotka region, conducted pioneer research in creating Interregional Public Fund “Pole of Hope”, and has been working in Anadyrsky, Chaunsky, Chukotsky rayons of the Chukotsky Autonomous Okrug for a long time. In the year 2001 was appointed to the post of the Chaunsky Rayon Municipal Body Economic Counselor of the Chukotsky Autonomous Okrug Governor. In December 2001 was elected the Head of the Chaunsky Municipal Rayon. In the year 2003 was elected the Head of the Bilibinsky Municipal Rayon. In April 2008 was appointed to the post of the  Chukotsky Autonomous Okrug Vice-Governor and the Head of the Industrial and Agricultural Policy Department..

On 07/11/08 Dmitry Medvedev put  Roman Kopin in Governor nomination in Chukotsky Autonomous Okrug Duma. On 07/13/08 by Regional Duma secret vote Roman Kopin was appointed the Chukotsky Autonomous Okrug Governor.
