In 2005, 59 medical centres rendered medical and sanitary aid to the Chukot people.
Chukotskaya Okrug Hospital comprises:

• Permanent medical centre of the Okrug hospital (200 beds, Anadyr);
• The Okrug psychoneurological clinic (60 beds, Anadyr);
• The Okrug tuberculosis clinic (40 beds, Anadyr);
• The Okrug dermatovenerologic clinic and AIDS centre (20 beds, Anadyr)
• Regional hospitals with polyclinic departments (675 beds; in 7 regional centres);
• District hospitals in national villages (152 beds; 17 villages).

34 out-patient clinics have been opened in the Okrug, among them:

• 7 out-patient departments;
• 2 health units (medical assistants working);
• 25 obstetrician units.

Moreover, the Chukot Okrug Hospital comprises the following structure departments:

• Medical prophylaxis centres (Anadyr);
• Okrug medical statistics agency (Anadyr);
• Emergency unit (air medical service).

The total number of beds in the Chukot Okrug Hospital State Healthcare Institution as of the 21st of December, 2005 was 1161, 20 of which were beds for day patients.

Drugstore network of the Chukotskiy Autonomous Okrug includes:

• 2 municipal drugstores;
• Chukotfarmatsia state enterprise with 7 district branch offices;
• 42 small chemists';
• 2 drugstore kiosks;
• 1 private drugstore.
