Child support

Demographic situation in the CHAO is characterized by the emigration of the population to central regions of the country. Moreover, life expectancy has grown immensely. The number of poor families in need of social support is therefore decreasing.

Whereas in 2001, the budget of the Okrug spent 21 million 305.4 thousand rubles on the benefits for families with children (state support was received by 10,173 children), in 2005, 4,881 children received 13 million 624.9 thousand rubles.

According to the Law of the Chukotskiy Autonomous Okrug of the 29^th of November, 2004 #51-03 on "Monthly child support in the Chukotskiy Autonomous Okrug," the payment for child support rests fully on the Okrug budget. There are no debts as of the 1^st of January, 2006.
