Social aid for the disabled

According to the 2005 figures, 1157 disabled people live in the Okrug.
From the 1st of January, 2005, when the Federal Law #122 came into force, the disabled people received following benefits:

• a 50% discount for paying housing services;
• a social services pack;
• monthly payments.

In 2005, 8 million 870.8 thousand rubles were used for subsidizing a 50% discount on housing services of the utilities complex (in 2001, this figure was 3 million 913.4 thousand rubles).



The social service pack includes provision of the disabled with medication. In 2005 such pack was received by 1561 people and 3 million 341.9 thousand rubles were spent on it.
