Television

In 2002-2003 a system of distribution and broadcast of federal, regional and local television programmes was established in 43 settlements of the Region. Five programs are being broadcast.

State television and radio broadcasting company “Chukotka”, a branch of the Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (RSTRBC), began broadcasting its TV-programs on the 22nd of December, 1935 and radio programs, on the 6th of November, 1967.
Television programs of “Chukotka” STRBC are broadcast in two languages, Russian and Chukchi. Yearly the company broadcasts programs with a total duration of 310 hours.

Municipal tele-studio “B-TV”, located in Bilibino, broadcasts daily from 1 pm to 11 pm. Programs are broadcast for Bilibino district.
